The film follows Roo Marcus, a down-on-his-luck former boxer who has just been released from an insane asylum where he suffered through brutal shock therapy. Looking for a way to survive, he returns to the only thing he knows: “circle fights”—vicious, bare-knuckle boxing matches held inside a steel cage.
Roo tries to leave the underground fighting ring behind by taking a job at a regular gym, but deep-seated corruption, cruel promoters, and a crooked cop inevitably force him back into the cage. He is forced to face off against a musclebound maniac named Cannon and a swift, charismatic fighter named Razor. Key Cast and Crew
Vernon Wells as Roo Marcus: Known prominently for his villainous roles in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and Commando, Wells plays the hero here, bringing a leaner, meaner fighting style and laid-back Australian charm to the role.
William Sanderson as Casper: Plays Roo’s loyal friend and gym owner.
Michael Copeman as Napoleon: The corrupt underground club owner who runs the brutal circle fights.
Sonja Belliveau as Charlie: A local, strong-willed mechanic who becomes Roo’s love interest.
